On May 4th, 2021, we organized an online seminar entitled "Various housing estates' trajectories in post-socialist cities: does the socialist legacy still matter?" with Kadi Kalm, who has been a post-doc researcher at the Department of Social geography and regional development (Charles University) since autumn 2020. In our project, Kadi has been participating in identifying various trajectories of socialist housing estates in Estonia and Czechia after 1989 together with other team members.
During the seminar, Kadi presented research aims and the selected analytical approach and institutional, societal, and economic forces influencing the development of housing estates in Czechia and Estonia. The central part of the presentation introduced the preliminary results, namely the identified types of trajectories of socioeconomic development of Czech and Estonian housing estates.
